Exciting New Opportunity at Canterbury
While Naveen heads into his first start for us at Oaklawn for Nevada Litfin and Karl Broberg works on our new acquisition, a 3-year old California Chrome filly, we have news on an exciting new opportunity coming from Canterbury Park.
This will be an "intermediate" level group or two that will be less than our "standard" offerings, but higher than microshares or "club" type experiences. There will be greater risk but also the possibility of reward as well.
Speaking of standard, for comparison's sake, our "standard" offering is a group of 10-12 people with a buy in of $2000 per individual and runs like a regualr partnership: we're all in this together with wins and losses and we try and claim/buy a horse in the $10-$12,000 range. We run wherever our trainers take us in the winter, but always try and comes back to Canterbury Park in the summer.
This new venture will be the "Next Level Canterbury Group". The group will have a minimum of 15 individuals and a maximum of 40 with a buy in of $1000. We will be looking to claim or buy a horse to bring to Canterbury for the summer. The people will help choose the trainer and our budget will be the total amount collected minus $7500 that will be set aside for approximately 3 months expenses, so it could be as low as $7500 or as high as $32,500. We could go with one horse or two - these are all decisions that we will make together through the "Groups IO" email list.
This is an opportunity to graduate from a 'club level' type group into a more of a 'real life' ownership group, most likely including Minnesota licensing. You can reach me via email below for more information!
