Canterbury Club 2016 Forming
The 2016 Canterbury Club, managed by GRS, is now taking signups for the upcoming season. The Club is great way to learn the ins and outs of thoroughbred ownership with minimal outlay and risk. For a one time payment of $250 to join you receive free admission to Canterbury Park for the 2016 season, backside tours, a special place to gather on race day (if available), rotating paddock access and - if we're lucky enough to win - the winners circle!! Our training again this year is Clay Brinson and we will do our best to select quality horses for the Club to own and follow throughout the season.
We post financial updates monthly and take questions all season long to try and demystify horse ownership. Former Clubbers have joined a special alumni partnership we set up, set up their own partnerships or went ahead and bought their own horses! It's educational and a fun way to spend a year - following YOUR horse. For more information, click here.
The Stable had fewer starts than most years last year but we were able to maintain our 20% win percentage while earnings per start continues to go up as we race more at venues that offer higher purses. In 2016 we will start at Oaklawn before moving to Canterbury Park for the summer.
Our 2-year old Minnesota bred colt, Tabby Dacat (Eastwood Dacat-Tabby Lane-Even the Score), has been broke and enters training in a week or so to get ready for his freshman season.
